The first meeting. Nadya was still in her freshmen era, a new member to the Gadjah Mada Chamber Orchestra (GMCO) family. While Ivan was the chairperson of GMCO at that time. In the first meeting, they were no more than acquaintances.
As time went by, they had a number of concerts together, including 2017’s GMCO #9 Mini Concert and 2018’s GMCO Grand Concert Volume 7. They just happened to be in the same stage together, but shared it like two strangers.
It was just after GMCO GC7 that they started to actually become friends. Because somehow, all of the performance numbers with Ivan as the conductor, had Nadya as the pianist.
Fun fact: this was also the year Nadya started learning cello from Ivan. But that was it, friends.
This was the first time Nadya joined GKI Orchestra for its offline service, which was a recording session. Since this encounter, Nadya and Ivan started to chit chat even more.
With just months of intense communication, they finally officially started dating.
After 5 years from their last concert together, they had another concert together, at last. This time, it was with GKI Orchestra. This time, they definitely didn’t share the stage as strangers. They were desk-mate instead.
The proposal. You don’t need more explanation.
Engagement day. Finally they became even more serious in their relationship and had the blessing from both families to continue preparing their marriage.
After all the ups and downs in 2024, they finally become husband and wife in early 2025.
